Most project lists arrive after the architect has already chosen.

We send the ones that are still open.

I spent my career on the spec side of this business. The calls that worked were always the early ones, before anything was written down. This is a list of those calls.

Product decisions happen early.

By the time a project shows up on a standard list, the architect has been named for months and the specification is written or close to it. Your team spends its time chasing work that is already decided. So does everyone else's: the same list lands on every rep's desk the same morning.

The way out is earlier. Reach the firm while its options are still open, before the spec is written and before the crowd arrives.

How it usually goes. The calls pile up after the spec is written, when the answer is already no.

What arrives on Monday.

A short list of projects still in schematic design or early design development. Eight of them, not eight hundred. It sits in front of the lists you already use and does not replace them. Each project comes with three things.

  • The firm is already named.Who is drawing it, and who at that firm to call.
  • A first line for the call. What to say in the first thirty seconds, written for that project.
  • The source, so you can check it yourself. The public page it came from, and the day it was last confirmed.

It is for building manufacturers that want their products considered during design, not just listed after the fact. If your reps would rather talk to the architect than read the spec, this is for them.

Want to see what a current list looks like for your product?

Reply or call. I'll send a few projects that fit, and you can judge the calls yourself.
